Therapeutic Massage

In therapeutic massage, the aim is the manipulation of the soft tissues to treat any underlying causes of muscular pain. This technique may also be used to treat the nervous system. As a medically-oriented form of massage therapy, the aim is to address tender muscle points, areas of poor blood circulation, damaged or compressed nerves, or biomechanical issues like poor posture or repetitive motion syndrome.

Therapeutic massage is also best used for those suffering from chronic pain that is caused by more serious dysfunctions. These include:

  • Nerve damage

  • Nerve compression

  • Neutral entrapment

  • Ischemia

  • Myofascial trigger points

  • Dysfunctional gait patterns

It will most likely at a few sessions properly treat a given condition. So if you have any questions on whether or not Therapeutic massage would be best for you, please feel free to contact us today.
